In the midst of increasing requests to create short animations, my team didn't have the animation capabilities, so I taught myself. I was especially motivated since social media was clearly shifting to the moving image, and I wanted to make sure we made work that worked with the algorithm, not against it. My first animation was for a sports partnership, a simple basketball bouncing across the screen. After a year, I became very comfortable with After Effects, and these became some of my favorite projects.
